Pets of all kinds are welcome at the cabin. It is a paradise for dogs. They love the outdoors with the abundance of trees to pee on, poop wherever and whenever, and are not bothered by rain, snow, or cold. Inside, they prefer curling up on the couch, in front of the fireplace, or on a bed. Grandma Alice’s cats loved to explore the cabin and even caught an occasional mouse or bird that wandered in.
Some of the dogs which have enjoyed the cabin over the years include Samantha, Josie, Duke, Wyatt, Charlie, Francis, Rio, Bristol, Jason, and Jeremy, to name a few. Duke & Wyatt’s ashes are buried in front of the cabin, along with cats, Hannah and Conan.
